Refund/Cancellation Policy: A refund will be issued in the full amount if requested on or before noon CST February 3, 2020. No refunds will be issued after this date. Substitutes are allowed at the door with original attendees name presented at the help desk.  All refunds must be requested in writing. Inclement weather or Other occurrence policy: The DFW Autism Conference will be cancelled due to inclement weather or any other occurrence beyond the parties’ control (including, but not limited to, flood, fire or natural disaster) if the conference venue is closed or the venue provides notice of its inability to hold the event. If the DFW Autism Conference is cancelled due to inclement weather or other occurrence, every attempt will be made to reschedule and your registration fee will be applied to the rescheduled date. Any travel expenses that may have been incurred cannot be refunded.

If the conference is held, but weather conditions prohibit your safe travel so you are unable to attend, we unfortunately cannot refund your registration fee.You may send a substitute in your place.

IMPORTANT – Any cancellations or a delayed start or important changes will be posted as soon as possible on the home page of the conference website with any schedule implications.

Waiver of Liability: When you attend the DFW Autism Conference, you release the DFW Autism Conference and Families for Effective Autism Treatment – North Texas (FEAT-NT), its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the event from any harm, injury or illness that may come to you or your guests that occurs while you are at the event or traveling to and from the event.

Photography and Videography: When you attend the DFW Autism Conference, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the event premises, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, advertising, inclusion on websites, or any other purpose by DFW Autism Conference and its affiliates and representatives. You release the DFW Autism Conference/FEAT-NT, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or or sound recordings.

By entering the event premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such exhibiting, broadcasting, web casting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by the DFW Autism Conference/FEAT-NT or the person or entity designated to do so by the DFW Autism Conference/FEAT-NT.

You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before entering the event.

 

 

Speakers I Presentations & Sessions I Handout Information
Speakers, Presentations, Keynotes, and Schedules will be posted to the conference site ongoing.  Schedules of exact sessions are not posted until a week or two in advance. Past conference topics and speakers still posted on the site is a good representation of the quality of the conference.  However, we do ensure there are new presenters and topics added every year.  Keynotes will be posted and announced on the website and through emails to past attendees.  To get e-mail notices, join our list HERE.

With 50 presentations on a variety of topics, we strive to have an amazing conference with topics for everyone on each day.  If you are not sure which session is best for you, please look for the Help desk area for guidance.  We are happy to share ideas on which session would be most beneficial for your desired learning/experience.

 

 

How many CEU hours will be available?

Up to 6.0 hours per day.  Only some sessions qualify for BACB and SLP (TSHA) hours.  Please refer to your schedule and program given to you at the conference for details on which sessions are approved.

We will also have a General Certificate of Attendance available.

*** Important *** If we are missing information for you such as license number or a correct email, we will list your name on signs posted at the refreshment tables.  Please see the Help Desk to correct this information needed.  Certificates will be emailed within 4 weeks of the conference to the email provided to us at registration.  If you did not receive and email thanking you for your registration, it is likely that we do not have a correct email address.  This email will be send with a subject line referencing: DFW Autism Conference.

Sign-In and Out with your name tag QR code Rules: Rules will be posted in each room and in the conference program.  You must sign out for breaks and back in even if leaving a session for 5 minutes.  *** If you leave a session for another session, please sign out of that session and into another session***

 

Do you have any rooms blocked at a hotel?
Yes, Please go to our Location Page for Hotel Information.  Rates are $89.00 for the Hyatt and $99.00 for the Hilton Garden Inn.
Is Lunch Included with my registration?
Due to the diverse diet preferences of many individuals, we chose to allow attendees the ability to do lunch on their own. The Hurst convention center is strategically located with an abundance of restaurants and fast food options close by. For your convenience, we will have lunch items, various snacks, and other food items for purchase from the Hurst convention concession stand both days around lunch time.  Light breakfast items, coffee, water, and afternoon snacks will be provided each day.
How can I find additional autism educational support?
FEAT-NT provides many educational opportunities.  Workshops or other events are sometimes added with short notice when opportunities arise.  For Family Fun Days or Community events, please join us on Facebook, our E-Mail list, and/or Check our calendar for events at www.featnt.org.  We will launch our online resource guide in 2020.  Check back frequently.
